BEMLOCAL

How To FAQ

Sixteen things members do on Bemlocal, in plain words. Sign in, open your Member Dashboard, and use the left menu. The short answer is always on the card. Open it only if you want the clicks.

If a menu is missing, your plan does not include it yet. That is normal. Create a ticket and we will turn it on.

Publish

Each of these is a different kind of page. Your company profile stays put. These posts sit beside it.

01

How To Post A Community Article

A community article is a piece you write yourself. It stays in your own community: on your profile, with your other community posts. It does not go into News. News is the site blog, and only an admin can publish there.

Member Dashboard → Community Articles → Add New

02

How To Post An Event

An event is something people can show up for: a class, an opening, a talk, a market day. Posting it puts the date, the place, and the price on Bemlocal, separate from your company profile.

Member Dashboard → Events → Add New

03

How To Post A Video

A video lets people see you before they call. You paste a link to a video you already host, usually on YouTube or Vimeo. You do not upload the video file itself.

Member Dashboard → Videos → Add New

04

How To Post An Audio Track

An audio track is a podcast episode, a voice note, a song, or any sound you want on your profile. You paste a link. The menu in your dashboard may say Audio or SoundCloud — it is the same post.

Member Dashboard → Audio (or SoundCloud) → Add New

05

How To Post A Photo Album

A photo album is several pictures under one title — a project, a place, a menu, or a recap. It shows on your profile as a gallery, not as a single photo.

Member Dashboard → Photo Albums → Add New

06

How To Post A Coupon

A coupon is a public offer with a code and an end date. It gives someone a clear reason to choose you this week, and it shows in the offers area of the directory.

Member Dashboard → Coupons → Add New

07

How To Post A Classified

A classified is one specific thing you are selling, offering, or looking for. It is not your company profile. Think one item, one gig, or one request.

Member Dashboard → Classifieds → Add New

08

How To Post A Job Offer

A job offer is a role you are hiring for. It lives with the other jobs on Bemlocal, so people looking for work can find it without opening your whole profile.

Member Dashboard → Job Listings → Add New

09

How To Post A Property

A property listing is one home, rental, lot, or commercial space. Photos and the address do the work. It is separate from the profile of the business that is selling or renting it.

Member Dashboard → Properties → Add New

10

How To Post A Product

A product post is one thing you sell, with photos and a price. People see it on your profile. If they pay on another site, you can add that link. This is a listing, not a full shop.

Member Dashboard → Products → Add New

Reviews

A review is public. You write one on another member, and you approve the ones written about you.

11

How To Post A Review

A review is written on another member’s public profile, not from a menu in your own dashboard. You are telling people what it was like to work with that business.

Their public profile → Write a Review

12

How To Manage A Review

When someone reviews you, it waits for your OK. You accept the ones that should be public, and you remove the ones that should not. You can also send a link that asks a real customer for a review.

Member Dashboard → Manage Reviews

Leads

A lead is a person who asked for help. One guide is how that request reaches you. The other is what you do with it.

13

How To Get Leads

A lead is a person who asked for help. Bemlocal sends that request to members who fit. You get more of them when your profile is easy to match: a photo, the right categories, a real service area, and a clear description of what you do.

Your public profile, and the match form

14

How To Manage Leads

Managing a lead means opening it and deciding. If it is your kind of work, you accept it. Accepting is what shows the phone and email when they are hidden. If it is not your work, you decline it so the next match is cleaner.

Account

Claiming a listing makes it yours. Credits are the balance you spend inside the account.

15

How To Claim My Listing

Some businesses are already on Bemlocal with a green CLAIM mark. The public can find the page, but the owner does not control it yet. Claiming it makes the listing yours.

Your public profile → Claim this listing

16

How To Get Credits

Credits are a balance inside your member account. You spend them on things Bemlocal charges for — most often to open a lead — instead of entering a card every time. Some plans add credits when you join or change plans. You can also buy more.
